I'd use present perfect instead of past simple here: "ropes that have bound" Voice from a single dynamic somewhere on the ceiling Lolwut? As I got through the context, it's not a dynamic here, but speaker. You speak, he live "lives", bro. “We have limited amount of time before the air is completely sucked out of there”.
